Coprosma X kirkii
Creeping Mirror Plant
Description
This spreading evergreen shrub grows 1'-3' high and 4'-6' wide. It has small, narrow, light green leaves that grow closely together. This shrub tolerates full sun and wind in coastal areas; it may become drought tolerant when established. In inland valleys, it needs afternoon shade. This plant is not fussy about soil. It is a reliable ground cover or bank cover; pruning will make the plant dense. Round white berries spotted with red appear in fall.

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
