Description

This broad shrub quickly grows to 10' tall and wide. It has medium-sized, green, thick, glossy leaves. Flowers are considered insignificant. It does well in full sun in coastal areas, needing fertile, well draining soil and regular watering. Tolerates windy conditions. In warm inland areas, this shrub does better with afternoon shade. Great for erosion control. Can be espaliered.

Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.
